Police Liaison Group meeting (July 2009)

The latest Police Liaison Group (Safer Neighbourhoods Scheme) meeting was held at the Baptist Church Hall on 15th July.

One particular point to note is that a spate of burglaries has occured in King Edwards Grove where a dustpan & brush is left on a doorstep as an indicator of whether the house is empty. Residents are being urged to keep an eye out for this or other items (including shoes) being left on their or their neighbours doorsteps particularly if they are away on holiday.

Full minutes can be found here and the issues addressed included:

  • Anti Social behaviour
  • Under-age alcohol selling prosecutions
  • Shoplifting vs TownLink system
  • Burglaries
  • Neighbourhood Watch
  • Pavement cycling

The next meeting will take place in October.
