Car-parking charges have generally increased in Richmond Borough recently but a discount card is available for those that print-off and send the application form below – this could save you up to 50%. All environmentally-friendly cars with lower C02 emissions or smaller engines will qualify for the discount which is designed to help “encourage owners and drivers to consider their choice of vehicle, and to encourage the use of low-emission vehicles which have less harmful effect on the environment” (LBRUT parking review).
Discounts aside, Richmond Council are keen for residents to move towards using these cards that will operate in a similar coinless fashion to Oyster cards – being topped up to a maximum of £25 at a time and used to pay for parking bay charges.
Currently the £2.50 admin fee is being waived for all applications received before 2nd November.
