School expansion plans are shelved

PlanningThe current plans to expand St Marys and St Peters Primary School have been withdrawn after objections for various organisations mainly due to loss of playground and playing field space. Planners face a difficult task – increasing the school size from two to three forms in a borough that is desperate for more school places whilst maintaining as much of the playing area as possible.

New plans are expected to be published within a few weeks.
