A woman’s body was pulled from the river near Chiswick Pier on Thursday. Police believe it to be teacher Geraldine Teasdale who has been missing since mid-December, but haven’t formally identified the body.
Teddington School’s headmaster Richard Weeks has spoken of the widespread shock at the news in the schools blog and this letter sent to parents on Friday.
Update: police have now confirmed this.
