Broaden your mind at NPL open day

NPLThe National Physical Laboratory is opening it’s doors to the public on Thursday 20th May 2010 in a unique opportunity (the first in 20 years) to peek behind the curtains at one of the worlds finest scientific centres. This date wasn’t chosen by chance – it’s World Measurement Day. Included in the open day will be short talks, refreshments, exhibitions and access to laboratories as well as the reverberation and anechoic chambers used for measuring sound equipment.

Visitors must register in advance via their website. The tour is free and runs from 4-8pm.

You can learn more about what the NPL does via this recently published brochure listing some of the previous year’s studies and discoveries.
