Photo challenge – from Thames Barrier to Teddington

Collaborative blog The Londonist is holding a photography challenge all about the River Thames.

As you might guess from the style and content of the site, this isn’t about the usual touristy shots. Organisers are hoping to capture some unexpected quirky and unusual photos of London’s famous river – uncovering the history and hinting at the future of the Thames.

The competition will run until the end of September and the best pictures will be featured at an exhibition at Foyles Gallery, Charing Cross in October.

Photos should have been taken in the last 2 years from the north or south bank, from boat or bridge. Each entrant can submit up to 5 photos – follow the instructions here if you’re interested or you can just marvel and the sheer variety of entries submitted by browsing this photo group.
