Celebrity Charity Cricket Match At Teddington Cricket Club This Sunday

This Sunday, 28th February, sees TCC host their first game of the season – the ‘February Fools’ Celebrity Cricket Match in aid of the David Adams Leukaemia Appeal Fund, a local charity based in Twickenham and raising funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The match will start at 1pm, with Max Rushden’s XI taking on Chris Tarrant’s XI, and will be a T20 game. Other celebrities taking part include ex-footballer Paul Merson, ‘Nasty’ Nick Cotton from Eastenders, TalkSport’s Andy Jacobs and Tom Oliver from Sky Sports.

The players have guaranteed to play “Whatever the Weather!” however there will be a number of other attractions too. Moidul’s of Teddington will be providing samosas and onion bhajis, the bar will be open, and there will be a number of stalls selling books, cakes, preserves, jewellery, handbags and stationery amongst other things. Try your hand at Bottle Hoopla and buy a ticket in the Grand Raffle – prizes include hotel stays, concert tickets, sunglasses, photo shoots and more.

Admission is free, and this is the first time TCC has hosted what they hope will become an annual event, so your support would be very welcome for the players and of course for the charity.  If you can’t make it, you can follow the action on Twitter – @TeddingtonCC / @DavidAdamsFund
