Richmond council invites EU citizens for Brexit information evening

EU citizens living in the borough are encouraged to attend a free Public Information Evening on the 11th July to get updates on the latest Brexit developments and find out what steps they need to take to protect their future in the UK.

The event is being delivered by Citizens Advice Richmond as part of a package of support, funded by the Council, aimed at enabling EU residents to get impartial, expert advice on nationality matters or the impact of the Government’s proposals and options available for them.

The information evening will run from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday 11th July at Richmond & Hillcroft Adult Community College, Parkshot, Richmond TW9 2RE.

Cllr Gareth Roberts, Leader of Richmond Council said:

“We are committed to supporting EU nationals who live and work in this borough during this time of uncertainty for them. They play a vital role in our public services and in our community, they are our friends, family and neighbours and they deserve our support.

“If you are worried about your status during Brexit negotiations or want advice on how to safeguard your future in your adopted home I would encourage you to come along.”
