School Sixth Forms Celebrate A-Level Success

Students in Richmond upon Thames school sixth forms are once again celebrating as they receive their A Level results.

The recent provisional results show that the 436 pupils in school sixth forms achieved A Level results above those seen nationally. The proportion of all entries graded as an A* to C was 86%, the same proportion as in the previous year. This compares with the national average of 77%.

The proportions achieving A* to B were similarly above national averages, as were those achieving the top grades, with 33% of all entries grades A* or A.

The overall pass rate was also in line with the national average.

Cllr Penny Frost, Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Schools, said:

“I would like to send my congratulations to all the pupils who have received their A-Level results. It is good to see that the results are in line with previous years and I look forward to supporting the schools as they work to drive up the grades even further.

“I wish all the students the best of luck in the future. Whether they are going onto university, employment, apprenticeship or further training – I hope you all reach your full potential.”
