Kids Come First offers specialist support to separated parents in private workshops or group sessions. Our unique, child-focused teaching program offers guidance on helping children through the separation or divorce process and creating collaborative co-parenting partnerships. Our professional adult trainers have family mediation & child counselling backgrounds, delivering customised support during family transitions.

Becoming a separated parent is a dramatic change in anyone’s life. Parents may find themselves struggling to maintain a positive, effective co-parenting relationship with their ex-partner and this can have a negative impact on their children. We aim to help parents keep matters out of the family courts where possible by providing the right support when parents need it most – helping you cope so your children can too!

Parents can choose to attend one of our group programs, book a private solo workshop or a joint co-parenting consultation to attend together if they both prefer.

Our charges vary depending on location as follows:
• Group workshop fee is £150 per parent.
• Solo workshop fees from £195 – £250 (2 hr session)
• Joint workshop fees from £150 – £190 per parent (2 hr session).

‘Kids Come First’ was co-founded by 2 qualified, adult teacher trainers with extensive experience of child counselling & family mediation who are responsible for compiling & presenting the ‘course’ material. They identified the ever-increasing need and importance of being able to provide an appropriate arena where separated parents could receive structured, ‘tailor-made’ support during this difficult time.

Our aim is to increase awareness & understanding of the difficulties children experience as a result of family breakdown. We want to help parents keep family matters out of the courts wherever possible but also recognise everyone’s situation is unique. Even if you are currently going through the courts, the learning material we offer will be equally relevant and valuable in understanding the needs of children.
