Acis and Galatea, and Don Quixote and the Duchess
Richmond Opera present an opera double-bill of Handel’s tale of tragic love, Acis and Galatea, and Boismortier’s comedy Don Quixotte and the Duchess. Sung in English, Boismortier’s little-known opera follows his ‘trials’ at the hands of his hostess and friends. Will Don Quixotte stay true to his faith? Both operas will be staged with full Baroque orchestra.
Three performances on Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th November.
