Frances Wilson’s Piano Studio – private piano tuition for children and adults

A classically-trained pianist with over 40 years of playing experience, Frances Wilson holds a Licentiate Diploma (Distinction) in Piano Performance from Trinity College of Music, one of London’s foremost conservatoires for the performing arts. Established in 2006, her private piano teaching practice has grown from a handful of students to a busy and popular studio based in Frances’s home in central Teddington.
Frances offers lessons for children and adults from post Grade 1 to advanced level. Study for exams or play purely for pleasure in a relaxed, friendly learning environment. Regular student concerts, and opportunities to perform in masterclasses, festivals and other musical events.
In addition to her teaching, Frances is a regular blogger on music, pianism and culture as The Cross-Eyed Pianist, and writes a regular column for Pianist magazine’s online content as well as contributing to other classical music and piano education websites.
Full professional member of EPTA (European Piano Teachers Association), promoting excellence in performing and piano teaching. Fully CRB checked (DBS Enhanced Certificate issued September 2013). Currently studying with Penelope Roskell (Professor Piano at Trinity-Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance). Frances has also attended masterclasses with concert pianists Carlo Grante, Norma Fisher and Murray McLachlan, and taken private tuition with James Lisney, Graham Fitch and Alan Fraser.
