The Friends of Bushy and Home Parks are delighted to invite you to submit your photos showing views, fauna and flora across the seasons in both parks for inclusion in the 2026 Friends Calendar.
The Bushy and Home Parks Calendar for 2025 sold out this year.
It is a special reminder of how amazing the Parks are across the twelve seasons.
By donating your photos you will be helping to support the Parks as all profits from calendar sales go towards supporting projects.
The cover of 2025 is attached for your reference.
Guidelines for submission
Please take your photo at the highest quality resolution on camera or phone then make a low-res copy and email (maximum 6) to:
Please submit in the following format:

The Calendar is A4 in size so Landscape orientation for each month & Portrait for the cover.

JPEG format

Low-resolution – e.g. 1200 pixels at longest side @72dpi
-
Please note – if your photo is selected, we will require a hi-res copy @300 dpi (5-10 MBs)

Send as an attachment, rather than in the body of an email

Please don’t submit similar images. Send us your best or favourite.

No watermarks/signatures on images

Rename your photo with your surname, title (optional), month, the park where the photo was taken and the approximate location. You can put the photo information in the body of the email if this is easier. Examples:

The deadline for entry is Monday 30 June 2025. All photos selected will be credited with the photographer’s name.

Volunteering opportunity to help us manage our photos and be part of the calendar production process
The Friends of Bushy and Home Parks are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to take over the management of our growing digital collection of photos of the Parks. – Deadline End April 2025.

An important part of the role is that our volunteer will be part of the three-person Calendar judging panel, ensuring the quality and delight for which our calendar has become known!

We use Flickr to hold the photo library, but previous experience of Flickr is not essential as training will be given. The volunteer will be given an email address to enable them to receive and upload photos. Image categories and keywords will be decided, and the images organised into Albums. Photos can be submitted by members at any time and especially during the calendar competition process March to June. The volunteer will maintain the currency and relevance of the digital collection by weeding, sorting and deleting where appropriate.

Apart from having a love and interest of the parks, we are seeking someone who is confident with IT, has good organisational skills and an artistic eye for a good image.
