CHARITY SUPPORTERS RUN LONDON MARATHON FOR CROSSROADS CARE

Two supporters of the local carers charity Crossroads Care are running in the London Marathon today and there’s still time to support
Each of them havetheir own powerful story and connection to the charity.
Remo Grasso, 75, is not only a long-term volunteer but also a former client.
He’s running to give back to Crossroads Care, which supported him through many years as a devoted carer for his mother, Flora, who had Alzheimer’s.
Remo is also supporting Homelink and Integrated Neurological Services, local charities close to his heart.
He has trained tirelessly and is now 86% of the way to his fundraising target. Huge thanks to everyone who has donated!👉 Donate to Remo’s page
Grace Ramsay is running her second consecutive London Marathon, this time in aid of Crossroads Care and inspired by her mum Debbie, one of our brilliant trustees.
Grace is raising funds to support the 10.6 million unpaid carers across the UK — people who are so often overworked and socially isolated.
‘I’m running to help shine a light on the emotional and physical toll unpaid carers face every day — and to support Crossroads in offering them the vital respite they need,’ says Grace.👉 Donate to Grace’s page
Grace’s Story:
“Having run the London Marathon last year, and having promised myself I wouldn’t again, I have somehow found myself running the 2025 race! Because this doesn’t seem hard enough, I will then be running a 55k ultra in the Peaks in June. All this is not in vain, however, as I hope to raise money for an excellent cause.
“Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston upon Thames is a fantastic charity that provides support for unpaid carers. Acting as an unpaid carer is an often exhausting and isolating role.Crossroads offers professional support and respite to those in need with a team of highly experienced, paid care supportworkers who provide crucial relief to carers who are often on the verge of burnout.
“The charity also offers a number of community respite projects where carers can go to build friendship and enjoy activities as well as receiving support and up-to-date advice from specialist Crossroads Care staff.
“Crossroads has made such a difference to many people’s lives. Any donations would be massively appreciated to help them in the future!”
Please help Remo and Grace reach the finish line — every donation makes a difference!
