URGENT APPEAL FOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS TO SEND TO UKRAINE

The Teddington-based humanitarian group Mighty Convoy, which has provided aid to Ukraine, is issuing an urgent appeal for unwanted musical instruments to be donated.
Anyone with unused guitars, drum sets, or clarinets tucked away in the attic is urged to donated them to be delivered to a school in Lviv in the next convoy.
Organiser Simon Brake told Teddington Town: “I’m asking my network if anyone has any spare musical instruments that are gathering dust in the attic,
“I’d love to take them in our trucks. They need to be in ok nick. Can be acoustic or electric. We leave Friday so would need dropping off ideally on Wednesday or Thursday or we could also collect.”

A team of fourteen drivers in seven vehicles including five pick up trucks and a refrigerated van donated by Iceland, will set off on their latest mission from Cambridge Road, Teddington on Friday morning.
The group hopes to help fund a music room at a school previously visited on Lviv and where a British teacher is working.
