SUPPORT CANCER 100-HOLE GOLF-ATHON!

Former Teddington businessman and SporTedd co-founder Mark Taylor hopes to raise over £100.000 in massive golf challenge

A former resident of Teddington is leading a team of celebrity and amateur golfers in an extraordinary challenge to raise funds and awareness in the fight against prostate and breast cancer.

Thirty six determined players will tee off on June 23 at Beaconsfield Golf Club for an epic endurance feat: 100 holes of golf in just one day, all on foot, with a goal to raise £100,000 in 24 hours for two vital cancer charities.

That’s the equivalent of five and a half rounds of golf – each of 32 miles and about 72.000 steps playing from 4am until 10pm non-stop.

This ambitious event is led by Beaconsfield Golf Club Captain Dave Booker, who lost his wife to breast cancer, and businessman Mark Taylor, who used to live in Udney Park Road and has Prostate Cancer and raised over £48,000 in 2023 for Prostate Cancer UK.

Former Teddington businessman and SporTedd co-founder hopes to raise over £100.000 in massive golf challengeThis year, they’re going even bigger – raising money for both Breast Cancer Now and Prostate Cancer UK through a shared JustGiving campaign.

This is a battle that hits close to home for all of us,” says Mark. “We’re swinging for those we’ve lost, and those still fighting.”

Adding extra star power to the event are some of the UK’s best-loved sporting legends and celebrities – many of whom will play all 100 holes or help promote the campaign across their platforms.

Confirmed participants include: Kenny Logan, Craig Chalmers, Lawrence Dallaglio and Rory Dawson.

Prostate cancer caught me by surprise – I was lucky. Not everyone is. That’s why I’m playing 100 holes of golf in a day: to raise £100,000, raise awareness, and urge men to get checked. It’ll be tough – but nothing compared to battling cancer unknowingly.” – Kenny Logan

Alongside the physical challenge, the team is launching an exciting online charity auction to raise an additional £100,000 – offering 100 exclusive items and experiences, including:

Amazing golf days at top-tier UK courses / Including The Masters
Signed sporting memorabilia
Luxury experiences, including VIP hospitality at Henley Regatta and other top events

And many more high-value prizes being added daily.https://www.jumblebee.co.uk/100holeschallenge

The auction is open to all, with every bid helping to push the campaign beyond its soft target of £100k – and toward an ambitious total of over £200.000.
