Exclusive: CAR WASH OWNER MAY FACE ACTION

The owner of Hampton Wick Car Wash may face legal action following the arrest of four workers by Immigration Enforcement officers, The Home Office said today.
In a statement to Teddington Town the Home Office said: “The matter has been referred to the Home Office’s Civil Penalty Compliance Team to consider further action.”
The Home Office also said the four men detained will be held in an Immigration Removal Centre ‘pending their Administrative Removal from the UK.’
Teddington Town broke the story of the arrests yesterday following the joint immigration and police operation on Monday morning when the four Indian men were detained after trying to escape.
The Home Office described the men as ‘male overstayers.’
The Civil Penalty Compliance Team (CPCT) is a UK Home Office unit responsible for enforcing civil penalties against businesses which employ illegal workers.
They make initial penalty decisions, administer the Civil Penalty scheme, and can also issue formal warning notices or reduce penalties if mitigation is successful.
