LOCAL TED LASSO STAR CONFIRMS FILMING STARTS SOON
One of the top British stars of the award-winning Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso has confirmed that filming on Series Four will start in July.
Hannah Waddingham, who lives locally, said in a radio interview with the UK morning show: “We thought we’d mourned the loss and now it’s rising from the dead.
She also revealed in the interview about her new Mission Impossible film The Final Reckoning with Tom Cruise: “We start filming in July – – It’s amazing.”
Hannah, who has achieved global fame after playing football club owner Rebecca Welton in the first three series of Ted Lasso is the first Brit to confirm the new series is being made.”
Hannah described the show’s writers, who also included Ted’s sidekick Coach Beard, played by Brendan Hunt as ‘jedi knights’ and the writing room was full of ‘feminist men.’
Many of the scenes were shot in and around Richmond Green, West London Film Studios and Hayes and Yeading Football Club and speculation is rife that the new storyline will feature a women’s football team.
Creator Jason Sudeikis, who plays coach Ted Lasso, has already disclosed that the series is coming back but it is not clear how much of the series will be filmed in the UK.
According to Hollywood sources two other British actors Brett Goldstein who played tough guy Roy Kent and Jeremy Swift who played Leslie Higgins have also been lined up for Series Four.
Sudeikis has told US media: “We’re writing season four now that’s the official word.”
In a press statement, Sudeikis added: “As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap,’ in season four the folks at AFC Richmond learn to leap before they look, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”
The series featured The Prince’s Head pub on Richmond Green, which was transformed into the Crown & Anchor and Ted’s fictional home was in Paved Court and has given Richmond a massive economic boost with thousands of tourists visiting the locations as well as an official merchandise shop.
