Club plans to engage with the community and supporters

Hampton & Richmond FC is embarking on another exciting new chapter as ownership moves to a group of existing investors, it has been confirmed.

The change of stewardship officially took place on 8th April 2025.

Club Chairman, Ben Hudson, expressed his optimism about the future, stating:

“We’re delighted that shareholders already familiar with the club have stepped forward to invest significantly and continue the progress achieved under the guardianship of the Petruzzo Brothers.

“This marks a pivotal moment for the Beavers, ensuring a sustainable, community-focused future for our club, which proudly boasts 104 years of history.

“Our mission remains clear: to nurture a welcoming, entertaining environment for our supporters and to create opportunities for success on the pitch.”

Hudson also took the opportunity to thank outgoing owners Rafaele and Stefano Petruzzo for their dedication and contributions since taking the reins in December 2022:

“I’d like to extend my gratitude to Rafaele and Stefano for their commitment to the club and progress made. We wish them every success in their future endeavours.”

The Petruzzo Brothers shared:

“It’s been an honour to be part of Hampton & Richmond’s journey.

“From day one, we’ve felt at home here at the Bev. As the club moves into its next phase, we’ll continue to cheer on the Beavers and remain proud supporters.”

Looking ahead, Ben Hudson confirmed plans to engage with the community and supporters:

“In the coming weeks, we’ll arrange opportunities for me, Alan, and representatives of the shareholders to meet with fans and the Supporters Trust.

“Together, we’ll prepare the club for a successful 2025-2026 season. For now, we ask for your continued support as we focus on finishing this season on a high.”

The team is currently languishing in 18th position in the National League South with 51 points.
