NEW-LOOK ELLERAY CENTRE ON COURSE FOR OPENING
The new ELLERAY Centre in the heart of Teddington is due to open this autumn providing a new state of the art venue for a great new venue for classes and courses, hobby groups, music and dance.
This exciting new venue will have a good sized hall, which can be divided into two entirely separate rooms, two other large rooms and a number of smaller spaces especially suitable for one-on-one therapy and counselling sessions.
There will also be a coffee bar, a lounge and a terrace overlooking the attractive garden.
All parts of the centre will be wheelchair accessible and it is within easy reach of local buses from Kingston, Richmond, Hampton and Twickenham.
The vision is to make the new centre a vibrant and lively community asset that really does have something to offer to just about everyone living in and around Teddington – a thriving venue that will provide:
- A wider range of activities and a social hub for existing members
- Facilities for a range of classes and activities including arts and crafts, health, fitness and wellbeing, hobbies and pursuits, training, self improvement and advancement
- Space that can be used for events such as children’s parties, exhibitions, etc
A large car park behind Tesco is directly opposite.
The Centre is to be run for the benefit of the entire community by a local charity, Elleray Community Association (ECA).
Says Chairman, Joan Barnett, “Our vision is to make this a vibrant centre, a home to a range of classes, activities, clubs and events that will mean that there is something for just about everyone living in and around Teddington.”
The income from room hire will go towards the maintenance of the centre and and the provision of ECA’s charitable services.
