POLICE HELICOPTER ASSISTS TEDDINGTON RIVER RESCUE

Teddington’s RNLI lifeboat was called into action on a stretch of the River Thames to locate a missing person yesterday.
The crew, which was alerted at 4.21pm and the was supported overhead by a police helicopter, which hovered over sections of the river between Teddington and Richmond.
After nearly two hours, the ‘situation was safely resolved’ with support from the London Fire Brigade and the Met police.
The Teddington lifeboat crew was on the river for an hour and forty five minutes but later reported: ‘the missing person was found safe and sound by police near the river.’
