ROBBERY SUSPECTS AGED 16 ARRESTED IN RICHMOND
Officers were called to a number of locations in Richmond town centre last night (thurs) at about 1955hrs to a number of reports of robberies where the suspects had threatened victims and stolen their mobile phones.
Police said the arrests were made near The Green and all three suspects arrested were 16 years old.
A number of victims were approached by a group of 3 males, who intimated violence would be used if mobile phones were not handed over.
Officers located the suspects, who promptly ran and were detained with the assistance of an Met Police dog unit with one suspect found hiding beneath a car.
The stolen property was returned to the victims and the three arrested suspects remain in custody this morning (fri) as the investigation progresses.
