PARSNIPS IN THE PARK NEW CAFE OPENS IN RADNOR GARDENS

The refurbished cafe in Radnor Gardens, Strawberry Hill, now known as Parsnips in The Park, has opened for business, Teddington Town can reveal.
The cafe, previously a target for vandalism, has been closed since March 2023 and had previously been operated by an Australian chain, but has been rescued and reopened by local businessman, Ben Phillips.
Ben is a familiar figure in Teddington where he has established successful businesses in the High Street including the restaurant Cafe Benedict and a Parsnips Cafe and delicatessen.
The name Parsnips is a tribute to Ben’s family pet dog.
He said earlier: “Nestled by the riverside and next to the children’s playground, it promises to be a welcoming, family-friendly hub serving delicious toasties, fresh cut salad, smoothies, and soft serve ice cream made with Jersey milk.
“With a playful, affordable menu built around seasonal local produce, it’s designed for all ages and open year-round.
“Sustainability is key, with compostable packaging, green deliveries, and zero food waste goals. Created by the team behind Cafe Benedict & Parsnips in Teddington, Parsnips in The Park will bring fresh energy and community spirit to the gardens.”
