POUCH AND DRIVING LICENCE OF TEDDINGTON WOMAN FOUND IN PENANG
A bluish-grey pouch belonging to a unnamed Teddington woman was found unattended at the venue of the After Work Fest of Star Media Group Berhad last weekend.
The pouch has been surrendered to The Star newspaper’s Penang newsdesk.
The journalists from the newspaper decided to open it today in the hope of finding a contact phone number or e-mail address to contact the owner but without success.
However, they did find a driving licence issued by the United Kingdom to a woman with an address in Teddington, London.
There is also a Novoo smart card item locator inside. No valuables were found in the pouch besides loose change.
A spokesperson said: “We ask that any woman from Teddington who is visiting Penang and has lost something contact the newsdesk at north@thestar.com.my, or just visit The Star @ Pitt St in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling in the heritage enclave.
“Do bring your identification papers. For security reasons, we cannot accept a representative claimant.”
If no-one comes forward by the end of the week, the pouch will be handed to the police.
