LOCAL MP URGES RESIDENTS TO OPPOSE TEDDINGTON SEWAGE PUMP
Local MP Munira Wilson has urged people to ‘make their voices heard’ in the campaign against the ‘Teddington Sewage Pump.’
Local campaigners claim there are better and cheaper ways to provide treated water than the Teddington Direct River Abstraction (TDRA) which Thames Water describes as a ‘drought resilience’ scheme .
The period of public consultation ends next Tuesday 26th August and thousands of protest postcards have been sent to Thames Water HQ.
She told Teddington Town exclusively today: “With only 5 days left in Thames Water’s consultation, it is so important that we make our voices heard.
“If you’re concerned about the proposals to replace water in the Thames with treated sewage, then please respond to the consultation before the 26th August.”
