LATEST TEDDINGTON MISSION TO UKRAINE CARRIES MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

The seventeenth humanitarian aid mission to Ukraine and organised by the Teddington-based Mighty Convoy sets off early tomorrow. (Thurs)
As well as much-needed medical aid including walking frames, wheelchairs, mattresses, anaesthetic equipment and medical boots the five vehicle convoy will be carrying musical instruments.
Ten guitars and ten ukuleles donated by Normans Musical Instruments (*) and Universal Music will be taken the 1200 miles by road to Lviv and delivered to a specialist music school known as School Number 5 which is massively underfunded because of the draining cost of the war.
The three second-hand ambulances, pick up truck and white van brings the total number of vehicles sent by Mighty Convoy to seventy five since the project started in 2022 which includes FIFTY ambulances and which have all been left to support the military frontline and the civilian population.
Organiser Simon Brake, who lives in Cambridge Road told Teddington Town: “We are so grateful to all our generous donors and supporters who make this possible and they can be assured that we are really making a difference.”
