FORMER ENGLAND RUGBY STAR TO COACH AT HAMPTON SCHOOL
Former England international and Harlequins full back Mike Brown is joining Hampton School’s rugby coaching team for the 2025 season, it has been announced today.
Brown, now 40, enjoyed a brilliant 20-year career, making over 380 appearances for Harlequins, where he won two Premiership titles and lifted the European Challenge Cup.
He later represented Newcastle Falcons and Leicester Tigers, before calling time on his playing career earlier this year.
At international level, Brown earned 72 caps for England between 2007 and 2018, featuring in three Six Nations-winning campaigns.
In 2014, he was named Six Nations Player of the Championship, becoming the first and only Englishman to claim the honour.
Hampton School announced his appointment with the following statement: “Hampton is thrilled to announce that former England international Mike Brown has joined our rugby coaching team this season.
“Mike brings a wealth of experience from an outstanding professional career, having represented Harlequins, Newcastle Falcons, Leicester Tigers, and, of course, England at the highest level.
“Renowned for his leadership, skill, and rugby intelligence, Mike will be running coaching sessions with Hampton School’s rugby teams across all age groups throughout the season, sharing his expertise and passion for the game with our players.”
