MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG DRIVING IN RICHMOND PARK
Royal Parks police have revealed a member of the public spotted someone behind the wheel at Broomfield Hill Car Park in Richmond Park, inhaling balloons.
When approached by police the driver became abusive and was arrested for:
*Drug driving
*Possession of Class C drugs (nitrous oxide)
*Public order offence
The passenger received a fine for cannabis.
A spokesperson told Teddington Town: “Inhaling nitrous oxide while driving isn’t just illegal — it’s incredibly dangerous. Don’t risk it.”
The Royal Parks Police is due to be totally disbanded on November 2 as part of police budget cuts despite strong local opposition.
