MAN WHO STALKED SIR ED DAVEY IN COURT

A man from Surbiton has been charged with stalking Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey and his family for several months, it was disclosed today.

The Kingston and Surbiton MP reportedly was forced to call the police after a man turned up at his home and his constituency office.

Inigo Rowland, 58, from Surbiton, has been charged with stalking and possession of a flick knife, The Metropolitan police said.

Rowland was arrested on October 6 and the offences are alleged to have taken place between June and October.

The Met Police also explained Mr Rowland appeared at Wimbledon magistrates court on October 7 and was remanded in custody.

He is expected to appear again at the court on Tuesday.

A Liberal Democrat spokesperson said: “We cannot provide any details at this time, Ed’s number one priority is the safety of his family.”
