POLICE ISSUE CLOSURE ORDER OVER DRUG-USE AT RICHMOND ADDRESS

The police today announced they had taken ‘firm action’ regarding Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) following suspected drug activity at an address in Parison Close, Lower Richmond Road in Richmond.

A full closure order is now in place until 21 January 2026 at 12:00pm, following concerns raised by the community and ongoing police investigations.

In a statement the police stated: “This order has been issued under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

“It allows police and local authorities to close premises that are linked to serious nuisance or disorder. In this case, the closure was granted by a Magistrates’ Court after evidence showed the address was contributing to harm in the community.”

Closure orders are a powerful tool to:

Protect residents from ongoing ASB
Prevent criminal behaviour linked to a property
Restore safety and confidence in the local area

Breaching a closure order is a criminal offence and can result in arrest, fines, or imprisonment.

The police added: “We’re committed to working with our partners and residents to challenge behaviour that causes harm and distress. If you have concerns or information, please speak to your local officers or report via 101 or met.police.uk.

“Together, we can make a difference.”
