Update: TEDDINGTON STATION LIFTS REMAIN CLOSED
The two lifts at Teddington railway station remain closed following a site visit by contractors.
The latest statement from the rail operator states: “The project team and our contractor Stannah were on site today to inspect the lifts at Teddington, following this meeting the lifts will remain closed.
“The team will be on site again tomorrow and I will email both yourself and local stakeholders as soon as I have an update.”
The two lifts have been out of service since September 11th when a person became trapped in one of the lifts and significant damage was done in efforts to release the person.
Local MP Munira Wilson has taken up the matter with the company following an outcry from local rail users.
