NEW RIVERSIDE RESTAURANT OPENS IN RICHMOND

A new upmarket riverside restaurant has opened on Richmond Bridge, the former site of Pitcher and Piano and the old Clock Tower.
The riverside restaurant, called Tower House, will have a modern Mediterranean focus, with a glass-walled dining room and a terrace offering stunning views of the river and is only 100 metres away from the now well-established seafood restaurant, Scott’s.
The team behind Tower House also operate Gold in Notting Hill will offer a wide range of Mediterranean inspired dishes throughout the day and is available for walk-ins now.
The carefully restored building has been revived as a modern Mediterranean restaurant overseen by executive chef Theo Hill.

Inside, a mix of heirloom collectables and crafted objects reflect the building’s layered past, while the glass-walled dining room and elevated garden terrace open out onto views of Richmond and Twickenham bridges.
One reviewer wrote: “Last night we visited the new Tower House restaurant on Richmond Riverside… and it was incredible.
“Created by the team behind Notting Hill favourite, Gold, we’ve been watching the careful restoration of this beautiful riverside building – complete with its 19th-century clocktower – and finally got to step inside.
“The atmosphere was buzzing, the service was wonderfully attentive, and the interiors are just stunning (we can’t wait for the terrace to open in the coming weeks!).
“The Mediterranean-inspired dishes were absolutely delicious – and the cocktails were fabulous too. Too many exquisite plates to list here, so we’ll let you explore the menu for yourself… just make sure you book ahead!”
A central open kitchen anchors the space, giving diners a view of the chefs at work, while the bar and terrace are intended as standalone spaces for wine or cocktails.
“We simply wish to show as much consideration as we possibly can towards the best produce available,” Hill said in a statement. “The aim is always to cook with fire in an unforced and harmonious way, which allows the ingredients to speak for themselves.”
Tower House opens to walk-ins in November, with bookings from December 1.
