GAS LEAK CAUSES TEDDINGTON TRAFFIC CHAOS

A gas leak at the top of Teddington’s High Street at the junction of Station Road is causing massive traffic chaos with tailbacks on both sides of the bridge.
The regular traffic lights outside the Post Office are out of operation and have been replaced with temporary lights controlling one way traffic from and into High Street.
The entrance into Station Road from High Street is completely closed to traffic but pedestrians can get through.
Workmen have dug three deep holes exposing pipe work in an effort to trace the source of the leak.
The work is due to be completed by Monday, November 24.
