TEDDINGTON’S NEW PANTRY SAYS A PUBLIC THANK YOU (PHOTO SPECIAL)

The newly-opened Teddington Pantry today issued a public ‘thank you’ for support from the community following the opening of the new convenience store in the High Street replacing Budgens.
Business manager Preeti Chandegra told Teddington Town: “We’ve been thrilled with the local response especially as we had a few technical issues which delayed our opening.”
She said she thought Teddington was the ‘perfect place’ for the new family business – which dates back to 1983 – because of the ‘community spirit’ and the support from the local population for new businesses especially when so many other businesses face economic challenges.
She added: “We really do feel we are offering something to different to what’s already available in Teddington already. You can get everything under one roof whether it’s just a tin of beans or something a bit different that you won’t find in any other store or supermarket.
“Because we are a family business and we are deeply involved in the day to day running of the business we feel confident we can adapt to the customers very easily and would encourage as much feedback as possible.”
Preeti also explained the Pantry’s choice of Teddington. “I love the area and hope to move here eventually- it’s a very friendly and a united community and we can sense that even more now we are here.”
She revealed that over time coffee will be served and she expects the range of products to increase dramatically as the Pantry begins to better understand the needs of local customers.
“We do our offer some premium products including our own range but we also hope you can find whatever it is you need from food, drink to any household products,” added Preetri, who runs the business with her brother Sunny.
