CHINESE PURCHASE OF UDNEY PARK PLAYING FIELDS MAKES HEADLINES IN THE TIMES
The murky and historic background to the purchase of Udney Park playing fields in Teddington by the Chinese national ‘businessman’ Wu An Ming made national news in The Times today (Mon)
Their story on Page Five was written by Chief News Correspondent David Brown and headlined ‘Playing fields linked to global crime cartel’ and featured a photo of the fields and the businessman.
Teddington Town brought the controversy to the attention of The Times and helped provide useful contacts for the journalist to highlight the issue and in the hope the fields will be eventually returned to community use.
