SANDYS FISHMONGERS TO STAY CLOSED OVER XMAS

Sandy’s Fishmongers in Twickenham will stay closed over the Christmas period following the sad and unexpected death of owner, Stuart Sandys, his family announced today.
His mother Jill Sandys posted an emotional message, which read: “My family and I would like to express our gratitude to you all for your thoughts and condolences at the tragic loss of my son Stuart.
“Reading all the cards and messages and seeing all the flowers has brought great comfort to us all.
“I would like to extend our many thanks for the loyalty shown from all of our many customers, past and present. Thank you.”
And in a separate message to shocked customers, Sandys Fishmongers said: “Dear Customer, Thank you so much for your kind messages, condolences, and patience during this incredibly difficult time.
“The care and understanding you’ve shown truly mean a great deal to us.
“Because of the circumstances, Sandys Fishmongers will unfortunately remain closed over the Christmas period and until further notice.
“We’re very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding more than we can say.
“If you have already paid for an order, we are unable to fulfil any orders.
“Refunds will be processed as soon as we’re able to. There may be some delays, and we kindly ask for your patience while we work through this.
“If you have recently reached out to us, please know that we will respond to your enquiry in due time.
“Thank you again for your understanding.
– Sandys Team.”
The family has announced that a small and private crematorium service will be held at Mortlake on Monday December 29 and a memorial service of thanksgiving will be held at St Mary’s Church, Twickenham on January 26 at midday.
