NO TEDDINGTON TRAINS ON XMAS DAY AND BOXING DAY

South Western Railway (SWR) will have no service on Christmas Day and Boxing Day with trains finishing early on Christmas Eve usually before 10pm from London Waterloo.
Major engineering works, particularly between Waterloo and Clapham Junction, mean no trains run on those specific days and significantly disrupt services from Dec 27-28, requiring alternative travel like buses or changes at Clapham Junction.
SWR advises passengers to check their journey on the SWR website for specific dates.
Key Dates & Service Changes:
- Christmas Eve (Dec 24): Early finish for all mainline services (around 10 PM from Waterloo).
- Christmas Day (Dec 25): No service.
- Boxing Day (Dec 26): No service.
- Dec 27 & 28: No trains between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction due to major engineering; services will terminate/start at Clapham Junction, with alternative transport needed.
What to Expect:
- Major Disruptions: Expect significant changes, diversions, and rail replacement buses for many routes over the holiday period.
- Engineering Works: Extensive upgrades are planned, affecting tracks, signals, and electrification.
- Plan Ahead: Use the SWR Journey Planner on their website before you travel for precise details on your route.
