PARK LANE STABLES MAKES GUEST APPEARANCE IN ALAN TITCHMARSH TV SHOW (Photo Special)

Teddington’s famous Park Lane Stables will make a guest appearance on Alan Titchmarsh’s ‘Love Your Weekend’ show tomorrow (Sunday) morning.
The filming, carried out in pouring rain in Alton, Hampshire before Xmas, was aimed at highlighting the work of the charity Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA)
Stables founder Natalie O’Rourke told Teddington Town: “Delighted to share that we will be featured on Love Your Weekend this Sunday 11th January. The show is on from 930 to 1130.
“We filmed in the pouring down rain to showcase the magic of Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA)
“It was such a privilege to meet Alan Titchmarsh and work with his wonderful team.
“Get your cuppas ready and watch us on Sunday!”
A sppokesperson added: “Nat was invited on to the show a couple of weeks ago and took a team down to where filming takes place, on the farm near Alton.
“This piece was about showing how the RDA is about so much more than people just riding.
“One of our participants, 18 year old Lauryn, helped show how someone in a wheelchair could experience carriage driving, even steering and controlling Sam our carriage horse, while two other participants, Dan and Philippa demonstrated that grooming and just spending time with a horse like Mac is beneficial to them.
“The weather was awful, it rained all day – and Alan was even jokingly apologising for the bad weather – but Nat reminded him that it’s something that everyone at RDA is well used to, as our neighbours at Park Lane know, the work continues whatever the weather.”
The Park Lane Stables is due to reopen on January 16.
