ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE HEALTH CHECK?
Prevention is the best medicine – even if you feel great now, the risk of long term illness can change over time.
This 20-minute check-up includes an assessment of your overall health to spot early risk factors for certain long-term conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and stroke.
You are eligible for a free NHS health check if you:
- Are aged between 40 and 74 years
- Are a Richmond upon Thames resident or registered with a Richmond upon Thames GP
- Have not been previously diagnosed with diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease or stroke
- Have not had an NHS Health Check in the last 5 years. Please note, private health checks are different to a NHS Health Check, so you could still be eligible if you meet the above criteria.
By getting a NHS Health Check, you are taking proactive steps to protect your long-term health by detecting risk factors and getting advice on healthy changes you can make to your lifestyle.
You can book your free NHS Health Check with your local GP or pop into a pharmacy in the borough that offers NHS Health Checks.
