INTERIOR DESIGN SHOP RETURNS TO TEDDINGTON

A new interior design shop is making a return to Teddington – with an outlet in the High Street on the site of the former independent retailer Heirloom, Teddington Town can reveal.
Callaghan Interiors is situated at 110 High Street between the Chinese takeaway, The China Garden on the corner of Udney Park Road and the FARA charity shop, almost directly opposite The King’s Head pub.
One of the signs in the window says: “Hello Teddington, it’s good to be back.”
Heirloom, an independent retailer selling homeware, gifts and cards, closed down in July last summer.

The family-owned company specialises in custom-made kitchens and has well-established businesses in Twickenham and Hampton Hill, did have a historic presence in Teddington.
The company’s website states: “We’re incredibly excited to announce the opening of our new Callaghan Interiors showroom on Teddington High Street — a return to a place that feels like home.
“Nearly 18 years ago we were based here, and after successful years in Hampton Hill and Twickenham, coming back to Teddington marks a full-circle moment and an important new chapter in our journey.
“We see this move as a natural expansion and growth for our business.
“While we prepare for our Teddington opening, our Twickenham showroom continues to operate as normal, supporting our loyal client base and welcoming all enquiries.
“Having first established Callaghan Interiors in 1992, we’ve built a strong foundation in Teddington over more than three decades, and we’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces again while welcoming new clients into the new space this spring.
“Teddington is a beautiful place to be, with a unique community spirit that perfectly suits who we are as a company.
“As a family-run business, relationships and personal service sit at the heart of what we do, and the independent, village feel of the high street aligns naturally with our values.
“From our local Twickenham workshop, we design and manufacture bespoke kitchens, handcrafted by our in-house team with precision and care.
“Alongside our kitchens, we produce custom joinery including fitted wardrobes, utility rooms, TV media walls, and tailored office spaces — all made locally to the same high standards.
“Keeping production close to home allows us to maintain exceptional quality while offering a collaborative, personal design experience that’s built entirely around our clients’ lives.
“We are incredibly excited to be back in Teddington and to play our part in making the high street even more beautiful than it already is.
“Our new showroom, planned to open in mid-spring, will feature inspiring displays designed to spark ideas and showcase what’s possible when craftsmanship meets thoughtful design.
“More than anything, we want it to be a welcoming space where people can drop in, chat with us, explore ideas, and feel part of what we’re building.
“We can’t wait to reconnect with the community, meet new neighbours, and continue creating spaces that people truly love to live in.”
