PARK LANE STABLES SHORTLISTED FOR PRESTIGIOUS ARCHITECT’S AWARD

The refurbished Park Lane Stables in Teddington has been shortlisted for an award from The Royal Institute of British Architects, it was announced tonight.
These are the prestigious awards established by the RIBA to recognise and celebrate the most innovative, sustainable, and high-quality architectural projects across the UK and internationally.
The Stables is one of 72 projects shortlisted across London and one of only 14 in South West London.
The judges will visit each property in the next month or so before the winners are announced later in the Spring.
Architect Sam Kamleh of Teddington-based AWK said: “Park Lane Stables represents the perfect convergence of community spirit, architectural thoughtfulness, and our shared passion for horses and people.
“The project’s inclusive ethos meant every brick in the building was a testament to collaboration, literally embodied in the engraved bricks in the stables.
“While modest in scale, the project reflects the extraordinary dedication of our client and the entire community.
“We are honoured to have partnered with Natalie O’Rourke and the Trustees to create a building that serves as a source of pride for all who use it and support it.
“To be shortlisted for an award for an equestrian facility in what is particularly auspicious timing—the Year of the Fire Horse—makes this recognition even more meaningful.”
Park Lane Stables founder Natalie O’Rourke told Teddington Town: “I am absolutely delighted for Sam and her team and her support for our beloved stables. She put her heart and soul into the project from every single brick to the overall design.”
