BUILDERS OWED THOUSANDS AFTER LOCAL COMPANY GOES BUST
Builders at the Mulberry Court development in Lower Teddington Road have been left unpaid after CIRC Construction Management Ltd went into liquidation, Teddington Town can exclusively reveal.
The company went into liquidation following the issuing of a winding up order in the Royal Courts of Justice in London in December last year.
Teddington Town has requested a response from the owner of CIRC, John O’Neill, who is yet to reply.
One of the known debts was to Swecos Structural Alterations Ltd who submitted a petition to wind up Circ when they were unable to recover outstanding monies amounting to £150,000.
Teddington-based contractor, J P Dunn Construction Ltd also are out of pocket, owed £37,000, alongside several smaller contractors.
The development at Mulberry Court was originally funded as a joint venture between Lifestyle Residences Limited in partnership with the Sons of Divine Providence.
It was intended that the profits of the development would be in part channelled back to the Sons of Devine Providence.
We understand that the Sons of Divine Providence are no longer involved.
Lifestyle Residences Ltd continue to trade alongside multiple other companies who share the same registered address at Mason House,18 Lower Teddington Road.
These various companies have the same directors. The companies listed are LR Strategy Ltd, Jon Group Ltd, Mulberry Court HW Management ltd, Lifestyle Management Ltd, CIRC Construction Management Ltd, and Lifestyle Residences Ltd.
Teddington Town understands there has been no offer to settle debts owed by CIRC Construction Management Limited via any of these other businesses despite the common directorship and involvement with Mulberry Court.
In the meantime, there are ongoing sales of apartments at Mulberry Court, marketed for sale between £630,000 and £899,950.
John O’Neill is described as the Founder and CEO on the Lifestyle Residences website referencing his role is setting up both Lifestyle Residences and CIRC. He has not responded to a request for comment.
The same website describes Mulberry Court as a collection of 34 elegant one and two-bedroom independent living apartments in the heart of Hampton Wick. Here, spacious properties with private terraces and balconies overlook an idyllic shared garden, created by a Chelsea-award winning design team. The Chelsea award winning design team were unable to fulfil their brief when funding issues started to impact on the completion of the project.
The existing building on the corner of Station Road and Lower Teddington Road was to have been refurbished as part of the Mulberry Court development. Works were suspended to this building with builders unpaid.
It is unclear how this will impact on Lifestyle Residences intentions to develop a further site in Molesey called Orchard Riverside, situated on the bank of the River Ember.
