POLICE INVESTIGATION AFTER BARNES STABBING

A man is in hospital after a broad daylight stabbing near a primary school in Barnes, police have announced.
Police were called to Nassau Road in Barnes soon after 1pm yesterday (Saturday)
Officers arrived with paramedics who treated a man in his 20s for stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital where his condition is being checked.
There have been no arrests and police are appealing to the public for any information.
A crime scene is in place at the junction of Church Road and Nassau Road near St Osmund’s Catholic Primary School.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “We were called at 13:07hrs on Saturday, 14 March to reports of a stabbing in Nassau Road, SW13.
“Officers responded with paramedics and a man in 20s was taken to hospital with stab wounds. His condition is being assessed.
“An investigation is under way and enquiries are ongoing.
“Any witnesses, or people who were in the area and have footage of the incident, are asked to call 101 quoting 3309/14Mar.
