TEDDINGTON LOTTERY DONATES £500 TO FIVE GOOD CAUSES

The local community Teddington Lottery has awarded its top ticket-selling Good Causes groups a donation of £500 each from its special Community Fund, it was announced today.
The charities and clubs are Teddington Swimming Club, the fund-raising community group SporTedd, Hampton Hill Cricket Club, Age UK and Teddington Cricket Club.
A spokesperson for SporTedd said: “ Thank you for this lovely news. This is truly the cherry on top of the bumper fund raiser evening we held last week with rugby players Lawrence Dallaglio and Rob Henderson.”
Dave MacKinney from Hampton Hill Cricket Club said: “We are extremely grateful for the donation and will go towards kitting out our newly-formed U9 Girls and Women’s teams.”
Teddington Swimming Club said: “This will allow us to purchase some backstroke ledges for the swimmers which will be such an asset for their technique and race training.”
Abi Stokes of Age UK said: “We are delighted to hear this news! Thank you so much and thank you to the community for choosing Age Uk Richmond.
A spokesperson for the Teddington Lottery told Teddington Town: “We are delighted to support those who support us. These groups are the ones that are pro-actively promoting the lottery to help raise funds for themselves. It makes total sense and we would urge any good causes in the area to sign up to the lottery.”

About the lottery:
THE TEDDINGTON LOTTERY (formerly known as Get Lucky Local) is an exciting weekly lottery which raises money for GOOD CAUSES in and around the Teddington area and community. All GOOD CAUSES supported by the lottery will benefit local charities, schools, clubs and groups.
Play the lottery and support GOOD CAUSES close to your home and close to your heart. It’s simple. Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 a week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000! That’s a better chance of winning than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery.
Each ticket has six numbers and each number is between 0 and 9. There will be a draw every Saturday night when a six digit winning combination will be picked. Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2 to 6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all six and you win the jackpot!
