POLICE INVESTIGATE STABBING OF 16 YEAR OLD BOY

Police are today investigating the stabbing of a 16 year old boy in Kingston following an outbreak of violent disorder, it was confirmed today
A statement from the Metropolitan Police issued this morning said: “At around 17:42hrs on Sunday, 12 April, officers were called to reports of an assault on Old London Road, Kingston.
“Officers attended the scene and located a 16-year-old boy with stab wounds.
“He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service where his injuries have been assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
“No arrests in connection to the stabbing have been made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
“A section 60 order was authorised following the incident, providing officers with additional stop and search powers to prevent further violence and disorder.
“As a result, three were arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons and drugs.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 5285/12APR or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
The police said they expected to issue further information about other arrests arising from yesterday’s incident later today.
