SUE LINDENBERG’S STUNNING IMAGE CHOSEN FOR COUNTRYFILE CALENDAR 2026
Bushy Park”s resident photographer Sue Lindenberg has had one of her amazing images selected for the prestigious Countryfile Calendar 2026, it has been announced.
The photo is called Fawn’s Dawn and now the voting is open for the public to choose their favourite image from the selection for the cover photo for next year’s calendar.
She told Teddington Town: “I am absolutely thrilled.” The photo was taken on 16 June this year. She wrote on the day: “On a magical misty Monday morning a Red Deer Hind and her calf crossing the Heron Pond in the most gorgeous light.”
Sue is a familiar figure on her bicycle in the early hours of the morning – often before 5am – when she captures her amazing photos of the sunrise and the early hours of the awakening wildlife.
Voting opened during the broadcast of Countryfile on Sunday 31st August 2025 and closes at 10:00 Monday 8th September 2025.
Voting is only through the website bbc.co.uk/countryfile.
The website vote is opened and closed at the times specified on the programme. Please be aware voting times may change. Please do not attempt to vote on the website outside the announced voting times, as the voting will be disabled.
A spokesperson said: “Thank you to all of those who entered the Countryfile Photographic Competition. We’ve judged thousands of entries. Now we need your help to pick one overall winner.”
The theme for this year’s competition was ‘Wild Encounters.’ Our judges John Craven, Hamza Yassin and Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock have now chosen their twelve favourites.
These dozen pictures will make up the Countryfile Calendar for 2026, which we sell in aid of BBC Children In Need.
Since its launch in 1998, with your help, the calendar has raised more than £33 million. But there can only be one overall winner – and that’s where you come in.
