TED LASSO FANS GATHER FOR NEW FILMING IN RICHMOND GREEN
Hundreds of Ted Lasso fans descended on Richmond Green tonight (Tues) in the hope of catching sight of the show’s star and creator, Jason Sudeikis.
But none of the actors were involved in the filming although the Prince’s Head pub was transformed into the Crown & Anchor for the shoot which also included lighting up the trees outside the pub, Golden Court and Paved Court.
Sudeikis and co-writer Brendan Hunt who plays his sidekick Coach Beard – a big Gunners fan – were photographed at The Emirates to see Arsenal beat Athletico Madrid 4-0 in the Champions League.
The massive crew began setting up early in the day with tents and cameras but filming only started after 5pm.
By all accounts the key scene was a stool being thrown through a window in Golden Court next to the pub, which was closed for the day but crowds gathered around the set and at the Cricketer’s pub next door.
Filming of Series Four of the award-winning Apple TV+ series is expected to continue until next month with more location shoots in Richmond but the show will not be aired until June next year.
