TEDDINGTON’S POPPY POST BOX

A post box on Kingston Road, Teddington, has received a poppy ‘makeover’ to mark Remembrance Sunday this weekend.

The poppy ‘topper’ is thought to be the work of local resident Denise Lloyd who has created other season pieces to support the RNLI and Easter.

Local Remembrance Day commemorations will take place on Sunday morning (November 9)  when local groups, including scouts, sea cadets, the police, representatives of the local RNLI, The Teddington Society, military veterans and even ponies from Park Lane Stables gather in Kingston Lane opposite the Royal British Legion HQ to begin the traditional procession for the Act of Remembrance at or around 11am, at Teddington Cenotaph outside the Memorial Hospital.
