(PHOTO SPECIAL) THOUSANDS JOIN XMAS SPIRIT AT HAMPTON COURT PALACE FESTIVE FAYRE
Thousands of visitors flocked to the Hampton Court Palace Festive Fayre today to soak up the Christmas atmosphere and sample lots of freebies.
From mulled wine, ginger beer, gin and rum to shortbread, cheese and chocolate, visitors had the opportunity to taste before purchase from hundreds of stalls in the gardens at the rear of the Palace.
As well as the massive selection of gifts families could also tour the historic Palace and see the stunning Xmas decorations including the illuminated deer in the courtyard and the seasonal-themed Palace souvenir shop.
There were hot dogs, steak sandwiches, Korean food, toasties as well as craft beers and local brand gins and seasonal music from the bandstand.
The car park opposite Hampton Court Palace was full as visitors continued to arrive at 1pm. The festival continues tomorrow between 10am and 5pm and next weekend from Friday 12 December and Saturday and Sunday.
