MR SHEDDINGTON SADLY PASSED AWAY
STATEMENT FROM SHEDDINGTON, BASED IN STA MARK’S ROAD, TEDDINGTON
“Our dear friend and founder of Sheddington, DR CHRIS MANNING passed away over Christmas. He had been unwell for some time.
”Chris had the energy and inspiration to create Sheddington and was the driving force behind setting everything up with so much energy and enthusiasm.
“He can be really proud of its great success.
”He was a GP with a passion for mental health and is known and loved by many in the area for his care and understanding of such matters.
“He did so much to help and inspire so many.
“We shall carry on what Chris started with gusto but will miss him terribly.”
His experience of local organisations was that they provided some fantastic services but there were still people who fell between the gaps.
He realised they would benefit from being part of something different, not a service, but a co-created community, something that could compliment and signpost, when possible, other services.
At its core was a very simple idea, “Doing stuff that we like doing together”.
And so, after months of research, listening to people and building a team, “Sheddington” was born.
